Privacy policy

Last updated: July 2026

This policy describes how PrepaUK collects, uses and protects your information.

1. Data controller

PrepaUK is published by AZSoft (Farid Azaza). AZSoft is the data controller for the processing described here and can be reached at contact@azaza.fr. No account, name or postal address is required to use the app.

2. Information collected

PrepaUK uses Firebase anonymous authentication. No personally identifiable data is collected. The following is stored: learning progress (per-test estimates, mastery by topic, mock exam history), usage preferences (application date, level, certifier, settings), an anonymous Firebase-generated identifier, technical data (version, platform, crash reports) and content you flag as incorrect.

3. Lawful basis

We process your data on the basis of your consent (given when you use the app and its optional sync and premium features) and our legitimate interest in operating, securing and improving the service. You can withdraw consent at any time by stopping use of the app and requesting deletion of your data.

4. Use of data

Data is used to sync your progress across devices, improve the experience and the adaptive learning algorithms, fix reported content errors and diagnose technical issues.

5. Third-party services (processors)

The app uses Google's Firebase services: Firebase Authentication (anonymous auth), Cloud Firestore (progress and reports), Firebase Crashlytics (crash reports) and Google Analytics for Firebase (anonymous usage analytics). Payments (premium subscriptions) are handled by RevenueCat, the App Store and Google Play. These providers act as our processors. No advertising is shown.

6. International data transfers

Google (Firebase) and RevenueCat process data on servers located in the United States. When your data is transferred outside the United Kingdom or the European Economic Area, it is protected by appropriate safeguards, in particular the Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the UK and the European Commission and entered into with these providers.

7. Storage and retention

Your progress data is stored locally (via Hive) and synced encrypted with Cloud Firestore. Because the account is anonymous, data is kept while your anonymous account remains active and is deleted when you request deletion or after a prolonged period of inactivity. To request deletion, email contact@azaza.fr (from the device, or with your anonymous identifier); we erase the associated data within 30 days.

8. Security

Communications with our servers are encrypted via TLS. No method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure.

9. Children

The app is not directed at children under 13.

10. Your rights

In accordance with the UK GDPR and the EU GDPR, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict or object to the processing of your data, and the right to data portability: contact@azaza.fr. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), the UK supervisory authority (ico.org.uk), or with the data-protection authority of your country of residence.

11. Changes

Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
